PINKATHLON 2007

Following the success of Pinkathlon 2005 where we raised 15,000 Euros for breast cancer research, I am delighted to announce that with the help of many volunteers we are organizing Pinkathlon 2007.
Once again having suffered the loss of family members due to cancer I would like to raise awareness and stress the importance of supporting cancer research. Due to popular demand by the men in our lives wanting to participate we are inviting everyone to walk up to 15kms in aid of breast cancer and prostate cancer research on September 23rd 2007 in my adopted village of Amou.
The Mayor of Amou Mr Jean-Jacques Darmaillac has given us his full support and “carte blanche” to organize our event for these worthwhile causes and with the help of the many local volunteers and clubs we intend to raise maximum funds in aid of cancer research. In 2005 despite the torrential rain over 500 women walked the walk and this year “come rain or shine”
We ask you to come in your hundreds and take part in this challenge. Weather good or bad does not stop cancer.
