Pinkathlon in Sud Ouest

The regional newspaper for the south west of France featured the presentation of the cheques from the walk with a full page article.

Sud Ouest highlighted the fantastic amount of money raised, the words of Francoise Decourtye from Cancer du Sein and the support shown by many.

Remise de cheque a Cancer du Sein-Parlons en

Vendredi 9 décembre les organisateurs du PINKATHLON étaient réunis a la mairie d'Amou pour remettre a l'association "Cancer du sein parlons-en!" l'argent recueilli lors de la marche organisée a Amou le 25 septembre dernier.

Jean-Jacques Darmaillacq, Maire d'Amou, expliquait son admiration pour Maureen Grall instigatrice de cette journée qui avait réussi à réunir autour de son projet généreux un grand nombre de bénévoles de tout le canton.

Maureen, après avoir remercie avec beaucoup d'émotion tous les organisateurs et donateurs, annonçait la somme de 15000 euros (cette somme était partagée entre les deux associations Cancer du sein-Parlons en! et Breakthrough Breast Cancer) récoltée lors de cette journée et cédait la parole a Françoise Decourtye, venue spécialement de Paris, représentant l'association "CANCER DU SEIN-PARLONS EN!"



Friday, December 9 PINKATHLON presented their cheque for the donations kindly received following their sponsored walk in Amou on September 25.

The mayor, Jean-Jacques Darmaillacq told of his admiration for Maureen Grall who instigated this fund raising idea and who managed to reunite numerous volunteers of the county to kindly take part in her project.

Maureen thanked everyone with sincere emotion for all their support and kind donations and announced the total funds raised at 15000euros which was shared between the two chosen charities Cancer du Sein-Parlons en and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
