Chakidor set to rock Pinkathlon
Le groupe canadien CHAKIDOR vont venir faire un concert et participer tout le weekend PINKATHLON 2007. Bonne ambiance assuree!! Ecoutez le groupe sur You Tube.
You are sure to enjoy the music of Chakidor during the weekend of the walk as their mix of country and blue grass will form the backdrop to the event.
The band will make sure all the the Pinkathlon walkers and supporters keep to the beat with some great tunes you can dance along to, and if you want a taste of their music check out the band on YouTube.
PINKATHLON 2007
Suite au succès du Pinkathlon 2005 qui nous a permis de verser 15,000 Euros à la recherche contre le cancer du sein, je suis très heureuse de vous annoncer qu’avec l’aide précieuse de nombreux volontaires nous allons organiser un Pinkathlon 2007.
Pour avoir perdu une personne chère à cause d’un cancer, je veux sensibiliser et soutenir une fois de plus toutes les actions de recherche contre cette terrible maladie.
Ayant été sollicitée par de nombreux hommes qui veulent aussi participer à la marche de
15 kms, nous invitons un maximum de monde à venir le dimanche 23 septembre à Amou, mon village d’adoption.
Début des animations 11h, départ de la marche 1500h.
L'intégralité des recettes de cette journée sera reversée à des organismes de recherche contre le cancer du sein et de la prostate.
En 2005, malgré un orage, mémorable plus de 500 femmes ont marché sous une pluie battante aussi, cette année qu’il fasse pluie ou soleil, venez nombreux relever ce défi et participer ainsi à votre façon à la lutte contre le cancer.

Following the success of Pinkathlon 2005 where we raised 15,000 Euros for breast cancer research, I am delighted to announce that with the help of many volunteers we are organizing Pinkathlon 2007.
Once again having suffered the loss of family members due to cancer I would like to raise awareness and stress the importance of supporting cancer research. Due to popular demand by the men in our lives wanting to participate we are inviting everyone to walk up to 15kms in aid of breast cancer and prostate cancer research on September 23rd 2007 in my adopted village of Amou.
The Mayor of Amou Mr Jean-Jacques Darmaillac has given us his full support and “carte blanche” to organize our event for these worthwhile causes and with the help of the many local volunteers and clubs we intend to raise maximum funds in aid of cancer research. In 2005 despite the torrential rain over 500 women walked the walk and this year “come rain or shine”
We ask you to come in your hundreds and take part in this challenge. Weather good or bad does not stop cancer.
